The Retreat is situated only one hour from the Eternal City, in one of the most authentic territory of the world, which include an organic garden, salt private swimming pool, relaxation areas and large green spaces among the olive groves. The Country House offers a refuge, a nest, a place that escapes the typical canons of holiday resorts.
- Throughout the Retreat, you will enjoy the morning organic breakfast in the garden, discover the territory and enjoy informal cooking classes and learn how to make fresh pasta, ricotta cheese and traditional local dishes. We will use local vegetables from the farm and fresh fish from the lake of Vico and Bolsena. We will prepare delicious antipasti, primi piatti & dolci of the Tuscia tradition.

THE COUNTRY HOME
If this is your thing, you really come to love this place.
The Country Home is located within our 40-hectare organic farm. There is a centuries-old olive grove, a chestnut grove, a 10-hectare meadow where our horses graze freely, and a charming 4-hectare forest where you can walk freely and in autumn collect mushrooms and chestnuts. The Pool, located just outside the farmhouse, the swimming pool offers our guests a pleasant relaxation area where they can quietly read a book, enjoy one of our cocktails or savour a glass of good wine.
THE GARDEN
The luscious garden, with its slate grey pool and quiet places to read and relax, is one of the highlights of this exclusive Country Home. On summer evenings dinner is al fresco at a table laden with exquisite green pottery, baskets filled with flowers, and embroidered linen.
The Country Home is located in a 100- acre pesticide free, organic property. A large garden surrounds the house. With a swimming pool, lounge areas, and dining tables, it offers numerous corners to relax.
The mood? Think of olive groves, vegetable gardens, blue sky, clear water and chestnut grovesin the distance.

The Country Home consists of 3 spacious suites, 1 double room, and 1 triple room. Each room has its own bathroom with bathtub. All our rooms have been designed and furnished in their own style, following the original
colours and furnishings of the house.
All rooms have a wonderful view of the garden and the surrounding countryside. It is a unique experience: a journey through the history of the estate through the centuries. Each with its own particularities. The 18th-century
terracotta floors, the antique furniture, the walls papered with sheets of satirical magazines from the 1800s.

Cooking Classes: We learn the typical dishes of local cuisine, prepared with fresh vegetables from our garden, fruit from our trees and eggs from our free range hens.
Pic Nic: We will prepare a tasty picnic for you to enjoy in complete relaxation in our meadows, or wherever you prefer, in the shade of the sumptuous beech trees of Monte Fogliano or on the shores of Lake Vico & Bolsena.
Cheese & Fresh Ricotta: The tradition of the shepherds to prepare fresh cheese and warm ricotta to taste on bread.
Visit to Cellar: Visit to one of the most fascinating wineries in the area with a guided tasting of 4 of their best wines.
Golf: Enjoy a fantastic location for golf enthusiastsIn fact, it has 16 of the most beautiful golf courses in Italy in its vicinity, including: Golf Nazionale, Olgiata Golf Club, Marco Simone Country Club, Golf Parco dei Medici, Tarquinia Country Club, Torre dei consoli… All easily accessible from our Relais.
Fishing: The proximity to the sea offers Bertarello’s guests the opportunity to take part in fun fishing trips. We will organise pleasant fishing days, which will be a fun experience even for the less experienced.
Excursions: The surrounding area is not only one of beautiful verdant landscapes but also has a rich and historical heritage, and the list of places of interest to visit is endless. Only 10 km away is Viterbo, a walled mediaeval city which was once a papal see and has a magnificent 13th century papal palace, as well as thermal hot springs and spas. The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Necropolis of Tarquinia, dating back to the 7th century BC, has the only surviving evidence of Etruscan residential architecture, and is notable for its 200 frescoed tombs. And if Mannerism is your thing, then you are spoilt for choice. There is the stunning pentagonal Palazzo Farnese at Caprarola, only 20 km away. Italy’s ‘most beautiful park’, the architect Jacopo Vignola’s masterpiece, Villa Lante, whose grandiose 16th century gardens are overflowing with fountains, artificial lakes, waterfalls and caves is also only a few miles away. Finally, the dark and forested Parco dei Mostri is a Mannerist folly populated with terrifying sculpted ogres, dragons, animals and giants.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Prices
All prices are gross prices (including taxes). The deposit is part of the gross price.
TraveLoving Retreat reserves the right to adjust prices.
All payments must be settled before the start of the service. Further details on the exact timing can be found below. Payment will be made as shown on the website.
Down Payment
To make a reservation for a bespoke retreat we we require a first payment corresponding to 50% of the total amount the balance 90 days before arrival.
Bookings less than 90 Days before the start of the trip: 100%
The remaining travel price is due at the latest 90 days before departure. Detailed information on payment can be found in the booking confirmation.
Cancellation
You can withdraw from the trip at any time before the start of the trip by a written statement addressed to us at hello@princeofsun.com . If you withdraw from the travel contract or do not start the trip, we can claim compensation for the travel arrangements made and for our expenses.
The cancellation fees that we can demand in the event of cancellation of the trip per registered participant are as follows, unless otherwise stated (percentage of the total price of the trip):
- Notification more than 90 days before the start of the trip: 50% of the balance paid (not including the non refundable deposit)
- Notification less than 90 days before the start of the trip: 100% of the total balance paid
In the event that TraveLoving for any reason is forced to cancel the Retreat, each participant will be fully refunded.
